The Pueo Wahine played St. Anthony this past Saturday at the only game held on home court this season. The varsity team won three straight: 25-11, 25-15 and 25-23. Rebecca Geng (jr.) finished the match with 7 kills and 3 aces. Boarding student Olivia Harris (so.) recorded 8 aces and Cassidy Otto (sr.) led the Pueo with 11 kills. The next volleyball match will be next Saturday versus St. Anthony.

Lynn H and Slater Fleck (fr.) were Maui Prep's top runners on Lanai.

Lynn Huettmeyer (so.) and Slater Fleck (fr.) were Maui Prep’s top runners on Lanai.

Both the girls’ and boys’ MIL cross-country teams competed on the beautiful island Lanai on Saturday. They had a great start to their season on a challenging course. Three Pueo runners placed in the top 15, boarding student Lynn Huettmeyer (so.) placed 9th, Slater Fleck (fr.) placed 11th, and Damon Wakefield (so.) placed 14th. Both teams placed 2nd in the team standings for Division 2. Their next race will be held in Kapalua on Saturday, September 2. This is the only home race, so come cheer on the Pueo runners!

The Middle School team also had their first race of the season at Seabury Hall. Joining the three Middle School runners were four 4th and 5th-grade Pueo athletes that are running with the Middle School team. The team is focused on having fun and improving their individual time with each race.

Come support these Pueo athletes in their athletic endeavors!
