Interim
Maui Prep’s Interim Program offers middle and upper school students hands-on, experiential learning opportunities both on and off island. This special week of learning usually falls directly before or after spring break. The Interim Program, uniquely designed to challenge students beyond their perceived learning and comfort levels, encourages participants to interact with students and faculty members from multiple grade levels. This program offers students the opportunity to sharpen their problem solving skills, engage in service learning activities and develop self confidence by taking on foreign challenges. Ideally, this program provides students with an opportunity to grow as confident and compassionate learners, peers and stewards of the world around them.
Recent Interim Programs have included:
Big Island Volcanology Adventure
California College Tour
Pacific Northwest College Tour
Science Fiction Movie Making
Hiking and Camping at Haleakala
