Join us for a day of golf, fun, and fundraising to support Financial Aid and resources for Pueo Athletes and Scholars. 
 
Maui Preparatory Academy is thrilled to announce "The Tom" Maui Prep Golf Classic, a special event dedicated to honoring the enduring legacy of Tom Rosenquist, whose efforts laid the foundation for our campus and ensured the stable future of our school.

The funds raised at "The Tom" are more critical than ever, supporting the more than 50% of Maui Prep students who receive financial aid. Your participation directly helps us maintain our commitment to providing a stellar experience for Pueo student-athletes. 


Tournament Details

  • Saturday, January 31st
  • 8:00 am Shotgun Start
  • Kā'anapali Royal Golf Course
  • Post-tournament lunch at Roy's included (bring a guest for $55)
  • Field: 144 golfers 
  • Entry Fee: $200 per player / $800 per foursome

The program has also recently produced two NCAA Division I golfers, with two current players verbally committed to continue their collegiate careers.

Tom Rosenquist, Mentor, Founder, Friend

Thomas “Tom” A. Rosenquist left an indelible mark on Maui Preparatory Academy and the entire Westside community. An avid golfer, it seemed fitting that Maui Prep host an annual golf fundraiser in his name.
 
Tom Rosenquist was born and raised in Libertyville, Illinois and attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater before buying and transforming an industrial grading company.  His business ventures expanded to land development, then banking.  Tom served on the boards of Royal American Bank, Gurnee National Bank and Midwest Bank.

After relocating to Maui in 2002, Tom envisioned an independent college preparatory school to serve the educational needs of West Maui.  With Tom’s generous financial support, business expertise, and construction savvy, Maui Preparatory Academy welcomed its first classes in 2005. 

Tom will forever be remembered as a founder, former board president, advisor, and financier.  He established support groups, both on Maui and in Chicago, that provided the base for the campus construction and stabilized the future of the school.   

Tom passed away unexpectedly in 2009.  He was the father of two sons, Trent (Class of 2010) and Hunter (Class of 2011).
