Pueo Girls Volleyball Team Racks Up All-Star Honor
When Principal Ryan Kirkham returned to lead Pueo Volleyball four years ago, he had a clear vision: build a team with strong fundamentals, a competitive mindset, and the ability to win at the highest level. His goal was not just to challenge perennial MIL powerhouse Seabury Hall, but to compete statewide and ultimately bring home an MIL championship.
A key motivation behind this plan was to see his daughter, Avery Kirkham ‘25, along with teammates Lauren Brown ‘25, Mayson Miles ‘25, and Lola Doherty ‘25, form the foundation of a title-winning team. That vision became reality in October when the Pueo secured the MIL Division II Championship.
The team’s hard work and dedication were further recognized last week when the MIL post-season honors were announced:
MIL Volleyball Player of the Year (Division II): Lauren Brown ‘25
MIL Coach of the Year: Ryan Kirkham
MIL First Team All-Stars: Avery Kirkham ‘25, Ashley Davis ‘27
MIL Honorable Mention All-Stars: Mayson Miles ‘25, Grace Cardon ‘26, Sofia Mallari ‘26, Zoey Offergeld ‘27
A remarkable season and a well-earned championship for Pueo Volleyball!
