Maui Prep Kicks Off 21st Academic Year
Maui Preparatory Academy began its 21st academic year on August 6, 2025, with a day of reflection and celebration.
Maui Preparatory Academy began its 21st academic year on August 6, 2025, with a day of reflection and celebration. A light rain fell as the administration, educators, Board of Trustees, and support staff gathered at the Lower School Quad for a blessing from Kumu Wilmont Kahaiali'i. Kumu Kahaiali'i reminded the educators of their sacred responsibility to protect the keiki while guiding them on their academic and social-emotional learning journey.
The campus was soon filled with the joyful sounds of 230 students from preschool to 12th grade. The day was marked by hugs, handshakes, and high fives as students reunited with friends and teachers.
The Maui Prep community also welcomed several new faculty members for the new year:
