Visual and Fine Arts

Maui Prep’s Visual and Fine Arts program is a vertically aligned, standards-based K–12 curriculum that:

provides students with opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and artistic skill development
encourages technical growth and imaginative exploration through a variety of media and techniques
nurtures creative thinking, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts

The program’s mission is to cultivate thoughtful artists and visually literate individuals—through an arts education that reflects Maui Prep’s values and the unique culture of the West Maui community.

Lower School Visual Arts

In the Lower School, students build foundational skills through inquiry-based learning in painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and ceramics.
Middle School Visual Arts

Middle School students participate in quarter-long exploratory courses that further develop skills in drawing, painting, collage, and design using a variety of materials and approaches.
Upper School Visual Arts Pathway

In the Upper School, students may choose from a range of electives beginning with Art Foundations, where they explore diverse artists, processes, and materials such as printmaking and two- and three-dimensional design.

Chin Studio at the Bozich Center

The Chin Studio is a multi-purpose room primarily used as a dance studio in the Bozich Center. The room features wall-to-wall mirrors, portable ballet barres, and a luxury sprung dance floor.
Graham Theater at the Bozich Center
