Maui Prep is getting ready for the holidays with its Holiday Block Party, a morning built around community. Our Head of School, a self-described holiday lover, came up with the idea as a way to bring families together. The school is partnering with local groups and inviting neighbors and friends from across West Maui to come up to campus and celebrate. The special guests will be Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
The morning’s activities include:
Photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus
Face painting, a photo backdrop, and silly holiday hats
Performances by West Maui Dance, Prime Dance, Maui Music Mission, and hula
Holiday music and decorations
Letters to Santa, mailed in the Santa mailbox
Breakfast for purchase ($15 adults, $10 children 12 and under), with proceeds supporting Student Senate
The event is free and open to everyone, and no purchase is necessary. Since it falls on a Saturday, guests are encouraged to come in their pajamas. The PTSO will cover the campus in lights and holiday decorations for the occasion.
The holiday season is a busy one, but it’s also a time to spread cheer, and the Maui Prep ʻohana does that best together. Families are invited to save the date, bring friends and neighbors, and help spread the word. More details will follow in the coming weeks.
