International Day and Potluck to be held Wednesday, Nov 26
Sign up here Get ready, Pueo 'Ohana! International Day is almost here!
Held on Wednesday, November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, International Day is a schoolwide event where students honor their heritage and diversity through team competition and a flavorful potluck feast.
This year, our junior and senior students are stepping up as team captains! They have been paired up to head one of eight teams that will battle for the International Day podium. The captains select a country to represent, then “draft” their countrymen from the middle and high school classes. The eight countries have been hard at work, meeting during X-block to compose dances for the opening ceremonies, write team cheers and chants, and design matching shirts for their team members.
Teams will face off in a variety of spirited games, including:
Futbol
Tug of War
Jeopardy
Just Dance
Portuguese Horseshoes
Hawaiian Trivia
Hawaiian Species Quiz
Where Am I?
Basketball Skills Challenge
Balderdash
We can't wait to see which country makes it to the podium! Don't miss this incredible celebration of our diverse community!
