The Maui Prep Difference: College Counseling That Goes Beyond the Application
The revamped College Counseling Center, led by Dr. John James and Jessica Lucia along with consultant Trevor Sturgeon, is already seeing incredible results!
The November 1st deadline is a critical milestone for Early Action and Priority applications. We are proud to share that 23 of our 30 seniors submitted 63 applications before these deadlines!
According to Dr. James, a staggering 144 pieces of writing went into these applications, all of which were revised, workshopped, and edited at least three times, ensuring each essay tells a student’s personal story. Even our teachers are sharpening their skills: those writing letters of recommendation attended a virtual meeting with Mr. Sturgeon to hone their craft of describing our exceptional students. The work continues as our seniors now focus on mid-December deadlines, and then transition to applying for scholarships and working on their Senior Year research projects.
