Pueo Athletics Round-Up
We have an exciting lineup of athletic updates and upcoming home events to share with the Pueo community.
Cross Country At this past weekend's meet at Seabury Hall, freshman Luke Carden delivered an outstanding performance in his competitive debut. Running Maui Prep’s fastest 5K of the meet with a time of 20 minutes, 21 seconds, Luke established a strong benchmark for the team's upcoming season.
Volleyball On Saturday, the Maui Prep volleyball team faced Hana High School in a competitive five-set match, narrowly falling short in the final set. Despite the hard-fought loss, the team recorded remarkable individual statistics:
- Zoey Offergeld: 17 kills, 3 aces, 2 digs
- Kelsey Reul (Libero): 13 digs, 4 kills, 2 aces
- Reese Berliner: 9 kills, 4 digs, 1 ace
- Ashley Davis (Setter): 44 assists, 4 kills, 3 digs, 2 aces
A special recognition goes to Ashley Davis for managing an impressive 44 assists throughout the match.
Upcoming Home Games Maui Prep will host three consecutive home games this week. We invite the community to join us and show support for our student-athletes:
- Wednesday at 7:00 PM vs. Haleakala Waldorf (Theme: White Out)
- Attendees are encouraged to wear white. Spirit paint (blue and green) will be provided at the entrance.
- Pre-game music provided by student DJ Madi Goldsmith.
- Friday at 7:00 PM vs. Lānaʻi High School (Theme: Bling & Ice Night)
- Attendees are invited to wear gold-accented accessories. Ice cream will be available for purchase, and the Prime Dance team will deliver a special halftime performance between sets.
- Pre-game music provided by student DJ Madi Goldsmith.
- Saturday at 9:00 AM vs. Lānaʻi High School
- Attendees are encouraged to wear official Pueo spirit wear to support the team for the morning match.
Promotions For both Wednesday and Friday evening games, each ticket purchased enters the holder into a raffle for a chance to participate in a full-court putt contest to win $500.
