Upper School Students revel at "A Night in Vegas" Prom
The Maui Prep tradition of Prom reached new heights this past Sunday, April 19. Hosted at the elegant Westin Maui Resort in Ka’anapali, the event saw the largest turnout in school history, as students were invited to bring guests for a spectacular celebration under the theme "A Night in Vegas."
The evening was the culmination of weeks of hard work by the Maui Prep Student Senate, led by Tehya Chumley, Leah Burns, Kaia Reader, Anna Nguyen, Anna May Stoops, Milo Merrill, Layla Merrill, Bella Andrade, Kailea Larsen, Kelsey Reul, and Kestrel Marshall. Under the guidance of advisors Dr. Miguel Solis and Dr. Lisa Zamora, the team executed a flawless transition from a formal dinner to a lively casino floor.
Casino Thrills and Magic
The "Vegas" atmosphere was kept authentic with professional-style table games. Students tested their luck with dealers Ray Parnell, Jessica Lucia, and Joe Lee, while Ryan Kirkham circulated through the crowd, performing an impressive arsenal of card tricks that left many questioning the laws of physics.

Beyond the games, the evening stayed true to the classic prom experience. After a series of dances and a spirited game of musical chairs, the community celebrated the crowning of the 2026 Prom King and Queen:
