Lions Club of Maui Renews Support for Fire-affected Students
Maui Preparatory Academy is grateful to the Lions Club of Maui for a second grant that funds school lunches for students whose families were affected by the August 2023 wildfires.
The Lions Club first supported Maui Prep’s lunch program for fire-affected students in 2023, and members said they were excited to support a West Maui school again. The renewed funding means students can count on a nourishing meal each school day while their families keep rebuilding.
Families who receive the lunch support say it has made a real difference. One Maui Prep parent wrote:
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and generosity Maui Prep and the Lions Club has shown our family since the very beginning of the fires. The kindness and care we’ve received has meant more than words can express.”
Maui Prep thanks the Lions Club of Maui for its continued commitment to West Maui keiki and their families.
