It was a banner week for Maui Prep Athletics as our student-athletes dominated on the greens, the courts, and in the surf.
Across the board, the Pueo spirit was on full display with several undefeated streaks staying alive and massive individual performances.
On the Links: The Girls Golf team remains a perfect 3-0 after a strong win over Baldwin, led by low rounds from Sacha Salem and Ava Kawahara. On the boys' side, the team moved to 3-1 overall. Highlights included a spectacular 1-under-par 36 from Aaron Hall ’29 in their victory over King Kekaulike. The boys face a pivotal match against Maui High this week!
On the Courts: Our Tennis teams swept Kamehameha Maui in a double victory! The girls secured a 3-2 win behind singles standouts Madison Goldsmith ’27 and Kestrel Marshall ’27, and a doubles win by Juliette Jucker ’29 and Anna May Stoops ’27. The boys cruised to a 4-0 victory, anchored by the duo of Jack Gleeson ’29 and Noa Sheveland ’26.
In the Lineup: Maui Prep Surfing put on a clinic at the latest MIL meet. The Boys Team finished in a first-place tie (54 points), powered by Zolten Poulsen, who claimed 1st place in both Shortboard and Longboard heats. Seth Jucker also took the top spot in Longboard No. 2. The Girls Team took a strong 3rd place overall, highlighted by Layla Merrill’s 1st place finish in Shortboard No. 3 and podium finishes from Sloane Jucker and Zoey Offergeld.
